The responsibilities of an event coordinator include creating event proposals, budget management, ensuring that the legal & safety obligations are adhered to, venue management, coordinating suppliers & post-event evaluation.
Corporate event coordinator
Your aim is to make business meetings and other corporate events, a success. Your duties include choosing a suitable venue, coordinating travel & accommodation, budgeting, and planning other activities associated with the event.
Hotel event coordinator
As a hotel event coordinator, you oversee the logistics of an event and handle budgeting. You are responsible for ensuring that the vendors including florists, caterers, musicians, videographers, photographers, cleaning professionals, and landscapers perform their jobs adequately.
As an event planner, you will oversee all tasks from conception through to completion – including calculating budget, finding suitable venue, scheduling speakers, publicising the event, securing sponsors, selecting chefs, sending out invitations, and coordinating event logistics.
The event organiser's duties include research, planning, administration, marketing, preparing budgets and managing income & expenditure of the event. You may work in an office, visit venues and meet clients.
